Martin joined LSV Borrello Lawyers in 2013, after having had a successful career as a property law partner in the well-known national law practice, Gadens, and extensive senior experience in roles covering property work in an insolvency law context, commercial property law, and local government property law.

Property law is Martin’s passion. Since his admission to legal practice in 1998, he has specialised principally in this area of the law. While doing so, he has acted for numerous major clients, including national banks, telecommunication carriers, national land development companies and shopping centre owners.

Apart from acting in the more commonly encountered fields of property law, such as commercial leasing and residential land development, Martin has also undertaken complex work in relation to successful Supreme Court adverse possession and partition law claims. Indeed, his forte is opinion work on such matters, and on contract disputes, and the legal research skills that he uses when undertaking such work are recognised by his colleagues as being of the highest order. As a separate specialty, throughout his career Martin has provided advice to clients on retirement village matters. Over the course of that time, he has presented talks on retirement village and elder law issues at conferences and to interested organisations.

Martin’s clients rely on his strong property law knowledge, and his keen eye for detail, in connection with their freehold and leasehold property acquisitions and disposals, and in helping them to obtain the best possible results in property-related contractual disputes.
